It's Okay To Be Lazy Once In A While, Isn't It?

Yesterday was a lazy day. Jeff spent more time online than I did. I had a tension headache for a long time.

I had feedback to write, but I held off until this morning. I'm waiting to hear back about it. I didn't work on my own writing either.

I watched 99 and Kaminey, two very good Hindi movies. I'm listening to the songs from Kaminey right now. I'm glad they give the translations (at least most of it) for the songs, but I'd love the music even if they didn't. There's just something about international music when it's done well that I really love.

We've gotten somewhere around three or four inches of snow, I think, and the sun's starting to come out. YAY! :D

Jeff and I will be going to the store in a bit, so doubt I'll get much writing done today. I may do some writing offline. I've got a couple of scenes I want to get down before I forget them. I may use them in my stories, but I'm not sure.

Have a great weekend!

Wow! I'm Really Late Today

I'm late today because we got up late. Then Jeff went online while I was in the shower, so I watched 99 again. I love that movie! I'll likely watch Kaminey later. It's even better. :)

I did well yesterday. I wrote six character journal entries for two characters for a word count total of 3,689, thus wrapping up a "storyline" in my character journal for these latest characters. Now I can start writing other storylines for them. :)

I didn't work on my story, but I might in a bit. I have some feedback to write first, but after that, I'm hoping to work a little on my own stuff...or watch Kaminey...or both ;)

It's snowing here. We had a lot of rain last night, a little ice, and it started snowing sometime today. Chelsey and Eric went out in it, so the roads must not be too bad.

I won't be able to catch up on my friends pages until tomorrow sometime, but I will get to them.

Have a great weekend! :D

My Writing, Winter Storm Warning, Other Boring Stuff

Yesterday was great! I wrote a 599 character journal entry that wrapped up a certain storyline in my I.W. character journals, then went on to start a new story (I'm letting the first story sit while I write this one, then I'll go back and read and edit it). I wrote 3,897 words in the new story, so my total word count for the day was 4,496. Not bad. :)

I still have to work on the creepy factor. I'm not used to writing creepy things. ;)

Our weather isn't too great. As I posted yesterday, we had a winter weather advisory. It's now been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning:

So when I get photos soon, they will likely include photos of whatever we get here, be it rain, ice, or sleet and snow. ;)

Jeff and I watched Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters: International, but we started falling asleep near the end of the second one. I can't wait to watch Vampire Diaries and Supernatural tonight...if we still have power. We might even watch Burn Notice. Thursday has become my TV night, it seems. Usually, we just watch DVDs, or Jeff watches whatever he wants. Thursday, however, is a good night for TV shows. :)

Well, I've got some feedback to write, so I'd better get to it, but first, I've got a lot of catching up to do online...stuff I would have done last night, but I let Eric and Chelsey use the device, so I never got back on.

Have a great day! :D

I Coulda Made It A 10K Day

My personal 5K Day yesterday was a success. I ended up writing 7,431 words in my new story, finishing the first draft! :D I'm going to set it aside for a week or two, then I'll go back and read it, make notes, and begin the first edit. It's 26K words altogether. I think that qualifies as a novelette...?

Today, I'll be working on some character journal entries and I may start a new story...maybe just write a few scenes I have in mind.

I was hoping to go to Sweet Bay last night, but my writing kept me too long and there was no way to get there on time...not even nearly on time. Maybe next week. Maybe I can come up with some more loglines in the meantime. :)

Jeff and I watched the series premier of Caprica. It was okay, but nothing I'd want to write home about. I know some people are really into the new Battlestar Galactica shows. I'm not one of them. I like the older, more fun series.

I am, however, looking forward to the new A-Team movie coming out in June. ;)

I still have to vacuum the studio today. I'll do that when Chelsey takes Eric to work, or if they go out earlier in the day.

Otherwise, my day is free to spend it on writing. :)

In other news, we have a winter storm watch in effect until Friday at noon:
A Winter Storm Watch Is In Effect...

• In Oklahoma...Pushmataha...Choctaw...Pittsburg...Sequoyah...Le
Flore...Latimer And Haskell. In Arkansas...Crawford...Sebastian

Morning. Heavy Icing May Develop Across Portions Of Southeast
Oklahoma Into West Central Arkansas. Should The Ice Potential
Become More Certain...Then The Watch May Be Upgraded To A
Winter Storm Warning.

• 1 To 4 Inches Of Snow And Sleet Accumulation Are Possible Near
The Interstate 40 Corridor With Lesser Amounts Further South.
Ice Accumulations Around One Quarter Inch With Isolated Amounts
Near One Half Inch Are Also Possible Thursday Evening Through Friday
Morning.

Impacts...
• Roads...Bridges...And Overpasses May Become Slick And Hazardous
In The Watch Area...Making Travel Treacherous. Power Outages
Are Possible...Especially Near The Interstate 40 Corridor.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...
• Consider Changing Travel Plans. Make Sure You Have An Adequate
Supply Of Food...Water And The Necessary Medication To Last
Through The Duration Of The Winter Storm.
As usual, I'll believe it when I see it and not a minute before. ;)

And on that note, I'd better wrap this up. I never checked my friends pages yesterday, so I've got to do that today.

Have a good one!

Maybe I'll Get 5K Today

Yesterday was good. I ended up writing only one character journal entry, but it was a good one. And I worked on my story. It's not as bad as I thought. Of course, it still needs a lot of editing, but I didn't really have to cut a lot out. Between the two, I managed to squeeze out 2,115 words. :)

It was partly sunny and very windy. I was cold all day. Today should be a bit better. It's just a little breezy right now and the sun is shining. :)

Jeff and I watched another Kunal Khemu film last night: Dhoondte Reh Jaoge! The information posted about it on Netflix was totally wrong, but it was still a great movie. It was a comedy and had some good music, but most of it wasn't as good as the music from 99 and Dhol Kiska Bajego. There was one really good song I'm hoping to get soon, though. There was also one part where the subtitles were moved down too far to where we couldn't read them. That was weird. But just like with the other ones, we didn't have any problem following the story.

Eric and Chelsey wanted to go out and look at a car that's for sale, so we all went. Eric drove, and he's pretty good at it. He even got in some parallel parking practice. :) We went to see the car that's for sale, and Jeff drove it while Chelsey and Eric rode with him (I stayed in the Concorde with Josiah). Chelsey knew she didn't like it before they even pulled out of the parking lot. It took Eric a little longer, I think. The man selling it had done a lot of work on it, but it still had a ton of stuff that needed to be repaired. So, they came away empty handed. That's a good thing though. At least they didn't jump on the first car they looked at.

Anyway, I'm going to spend a good part of today writing. Yesterday's writing was so much fun, I'm anxious to do more! :D

Have a great day!

Back To Work. YAY!

My studio's been rearranged, reorganized and mostly cleaned. I still have to vacuum and there are a few spots on the walls that need to be touched up with paint. Otherwise, it's done. Oh, I also need to hang my framed drawings of Adam Joaquin Gonzalez, as well as this year's Nanowrimo winner certificate and a couple of small dreamcatchers Chelsey bought for me for Christmas.

So that means that today, I'll be back to my writing! :D I'm planning on working on some character journal entries, then do some hard editing on my story (as in cutting out a lot of stuff).

I'm also hoping to bring Josiah back to the studio for a while...if Eric and Chelsey don't have plans...for a couple hours, to give Chelsey a break. I haven't spent time with him in a while. I'm looking forward to it.

Jeff and I watched Untamed Heart last night. I haven't seen that movie in years, and Jeff had never seen it before. I've always loved Christian Slater and Marisa Tomei, so it was awesome to see it again. :)

I'll be taking some photos soon...of Josiah, my studio, etc. I don't know when I'll post them, but I'll try to do it next weekend.

Have an awesome day!

Lois

The Weather's Not Making Me Lethargic Today

Yesterday was rainy. Jeff took a nap early in the afternoon, and we went to Kohl's after that. I got three t-shirts. It's not quite what I had in mind, but I love them, so I'm happy. :)

It's another rainy/ cloudy day today. I'm taking advantage of the icky weather by cleaning and organizing my studio. I've gained another TV cart (thanks to Eric for rearranging and cleaning the living room), so I have to figure out where to put it. I have ideas. :)

I have some feedback to write, but compared to everything else I have to do today, that will take up only a short bit of my time.

And I need to edit some photos so I can post them.

I'm also doing laundry.

And I have to cut up some veggies for my salad.

The cleaning and organizing will take the longest.

I plan to resume work on my writing tomorrow...unless I should happen to get some free time this afternoon. I doubt I will, but one can hope. ;)

I should be getting another Kunal Khemu DVD tomorrow. I can't wait! :D

Hope everyone's doing well. Have a great Sunday!
