Happy Birthday to My Hubby!

Jeff's 43 today! The kids left handwritten notes all over the house wishing him a happy birthday. :) He already got his gifts, but we haven't touched the apple pie. We'll have that tonight and I'll give him my card then.

Today, I have a few business things to do, then I'll start work on my character journal entries. We found out only two days ago that Jeff has to work today. He's back to six days. :/ Well, at least it gives me an extra day for writing.

Last night, we watched two episodes of Mutant X.

We didn't have storms yesterday. Yay! :D But we did have lots of clouds. We didn't have any rain either, thank goodness! It's nice and sunny here and only 55°. I love it!

I got my new debit card yesterday. I've activated it and can now use it, though I'm still waiting on my pin number to arrive. My new credit card came, too. I activated it, as well, but I only plan to use it very sparingly. That shouldn't be a problem, since I can use the debit card. I mainly got the credit card as a means of account protection, but I have to make at least one purchase per year. The woman who set up my checking account for me told me the purchase could even be something as small as a pack of gum.

Well, I need to hurry up here so I can get started on other things.

Have a great day!

Busy Bee

I managed to write 3,828 words yesterday. 744 words of that were business related, but the rest were character journal entries for Lucky Raven, Zane Greywolf and Fox and Sawyer Redman. I'm hoping to work on the rest later today.

I have a Skype business call at ten and other business stuff to do, but then I should have the rest of the day for writing. :)

Eric and Chelsey have finally found jobs...at Walmart. Eric asked me yesterday what I would charge. I'm not sure what to ask for, since they probably won't be making a lot, but I'll have to think about it.

The weather is gloomy here today. We have a good chance of rain and storms all day. I hope the weather doesn't affect the business call.

I need to go to the laundromat sometime soon. I need to wash all the comforters and sheets and stuff before my mom comes...in fact, I want to get that done before November 1. Our machines just don't cut it. I also want to wash my own clothes...and Jeff's. I'd love to do that today.

Well, that's how my day looks. How's your's?

Have a good one!

Wednesday Writing Sprints

I'll be participating in Wednesday Writing Sprints today and, as usual, all are welcome to join us.

As is the norm, I'll be working on my character journal entries. It's been a couple of weeks, I think, since I worked on them, so I'm looking forward to reconnecting with Lucky, Zane, Fox, Sawyer and all the rest. :)

That's pretty much all I have planned, although some business stuff may come up. I never know.

And I may have to babysit for an hour or two this afternoon.

Otherwise, my day is free to write to my heart's content! :D

Hope your day is great!

Anyone Have Anything You Want Shredded?

Yesterday, I transcribed about five pages (3,132 words) of my printout of Cottage to the computer. I've got about ten to twelve pages left, I think.

Jeff and I went shopping last night, partly for some things I needed and partly for his birthday. He decided to get a cross shredder for paperwork (we have a ton of stuff that he was planning on burning when he burns brush, but it's taking forever for that and I've been wanting a shredder for a long time), a pair of jeans and two shirts. I bought him a card, but I'll give that to him on Friday when we have pie (yes, you read correctly...PIE) and ice cream.

Jeff and I went on a shredding spree last night and filled a small garbage bag full of shreddings. ;)

Photo found online...

Eric and Chelsey made a cake yesterday and we all had cake and ice cream (complete with chocolate syrup, chopped walnuts, Ghirardelli 60% cocoa chocolate chips and Maraschino cherries). I couldn't eat all my cake. When I said I wanted a small piece, Eric dished me up a huge piece! :P

So, anyway, I've got a few things I need to do online, then I plan to go offline early to do some transcribing.

Have an awesome day! :D

How I've Missed the Sun!

I managed to transcribe a little over 4 pages (2,727 words) from my printout to the document on my computer. I still have a long way to go, but it's a start. I'll be doing more today...quite a bit more, if I can.

It's still nice and sunny here and the Bradford Pear has drunk most of the swamp it had around it. Our high for today is only supposed to be 77° and our low is supposed to be 48°! Yay! :D

I've taken care of the first part of packaging for my contributions to the goody bags (for our Nanowrimo group). I still have to assemble the packaging, then wait for the actual items to arrive. Am I being cryptic enough? ;)

I also have an invoice I need to print out. I'd better do that pretty quick, so I don't forget.

I've got all the library books I put on hold. There's still one book I don't have in the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. I need to see if the library has it.

I think we'll be heading out to the store tomorrow night (maybe tonight if we have the time). There are a couple of things I forgot to get and I need to shop for Jeff's birthday (Oct. 2), though I could do all of this with Eric and Chelsey. We'll see...

Anyway, my day today should consist of transcribing, then more planning for the short story.

What will you be doing today?

Have a good one! :D

Happy Sunday! :D

Yesterday was another beautiful day. It was sunny and around 82°, I think. There were some clouds, but they were few and far between. Today looks like it will be about the same, but with our high around 90°.

Jeff and I didn't get everything done that we needed to do, so we'll have to go into town some time this week to do the rest.

I just made my own omelet bowl...better than the one I had at Sweet Bay! :D I sauteed the vegetables (green bell peppers, sweet red onions and sliced baby Portabello mushrooms) and some chopped, sliced ham. When they were done, I put them in a bowl, then made an omelet and cut it up into small pieces. I dumped the omelet on top of the veggies, then topped all with salsa. It was yummy! :P

Today, I'll start transcribing my latest writing to the laptop, then I'll back it up to Box.net so I won't lose it. I've also got to re-download my friend's book so I can start reading it again. I can't wait! :D

But first, I've got to finish up on here.

Have a great day! :D
