I Love Sweet Bay! :D

Well, I'm at Sweet Bay again, but this time it's one of the ones in Fort Smith. I'm almost finished here, though. I had a yummy low carb omelet bowl and a decaf spiced chai latte. Now Jeff's getting me a decaf Irish cream cappuccino. :)

They have two laptops set up here for people to use. How cool is that? :D I don't need to use them, as I'm using my laptop with their Wi-fi, but still... :)

We'll be doing several things in Fort Smith before heading to Walmart to do our grocery shopping, then home. Chelsey's brothers are visiting and Eric wants us to meet them.

We may be going to Best Buy, J.C. Penney, Michael's and/ or Hobby Lobby and several other places. It'll be a busy day. :)

I won't be transcribing my writing until tomorrow. I won't be brainstorming/ outlining my short story until tomorrow. Today will be busy, but it won't be writing related. Tomorrow will be. :)

The weather has greatly improved: 82° and sunny. I hope it stays sunny for a long time! :D

Have a great day! :)

I'm At Sweet Bay! :D

I've exceeded my bandwidth again, thanks to the Vista fiasco. Thank God I only have today and tomorrow left before the new billing cycle begins! I just hope they don't charge me, because I'll be in huge trouble if they do. :/

Anyway, I'm trying to get as much done from here as I can. At home, I'll work on offline stuff (i.e. transcribing last Thursday's writing to the computer, brainstorming/ outlining the new short story, etc.).

The sun is shining brightly today!!! :D The day started out cloudy, but it cleared up early. I can't see a cloud in the sky!

Well, that's all I've got, so I'd better hurry up and finish everything else before I have to go.

I hope you have a great day and a very happy weekend!

Lyrics: I Know

Seventh Day Slumber - I Know
From the album Picking Up The Pieces

Wonder what can be so bad
That it makes you want to die
I wonder what could be so tragic
Makes you want to take your life
You have your Savior on the cross
While you sit on the throne
Put yourself up on that cross
Put your Savior on the throne

And I know it's hard to take what's happening
And I know life is tough sometimes
And I know it seems like there's no hope for you
And I know your life is worth more than you can see

It's hard to see beyond your pain
When you feel so dead inside
It's hard to see what you've been given
It's hard to find the hope in life

And I know it's hard to take what's happening
And I know life is tough sometimes
And I know it seems like there's no hope for you
And I know your life is worth more than you can see

And I say look at Jesus' hands
Those scars are there for you
You know He understands
What you're going through

Writing Today! :D

In a manner of speaking, anyway. I plan to start transcribing the material I wrote last Thursday in Cottage, then I want to work on brainstorming the short story I mentioned recently (refer to this post). I actually heard another song on Air1 this morning that would be perfect with the two songs in that post and I've posted it here.  I found a few others that might work, too...all by the same group: Seventh Day Slumber.

I have a few more things to do before I can start on my writing and brainstorming/ outlining, but not much. After several days of writing nothing, I'm looking forward to getting started on this!

Well, I'd better hurry up and finish so I can get to it.

Have a great day!

What A Busy Day!

Well, I'm mostly done reinstalling everything. Anything else that needs to be installed, I'll install as I need them.

I can't wait to do some writing tomorrow! :D

I totally missed Wednesday Writing Sprints today. :( I'll get back into the swing of things...

I bought some Rose Scented tea today. It should be here sometime in the next two weeks. Yummy! :P

I also bought four new songs by Decyfer Down: "Best I Can," "Ride With Me," "Wasting Away" and "Over My Head." They're awesome! I also downloaded Amazon.com's version of Disciple's "Words Left Unsaid." :) It's a beautiful song.

So now I've got to get off here and take a shower. I've been slow cooking some beans for dinner, but I need to fix some meat and veggies to go with them after my shower. Jeff will probably be home by the time I'm finished.

Have a great evening!

Lois

A Brief Update:

I went to four different stores yesterday and none of them had Windows XP. I made a last ditch effort to reinstall Vista when we got back and it worked! I plan on getting Windows 7 sometime after it's released (it releases on October 22), but until then, I'll stick with Vista. I'm currently in the process of reinstalling all my software and retrieving the most recent versions of my novels from Box.net. They're all current except for Cottage, so I'm happy. :)

I have to say, I'm very relieved to have the laptop up and running again! It's not easy when things go haywire! :P

Well, I'm going to keep this short, as I still have a lot of work to do.

Have a great day!

Just Another Boring, Rainy Day In This Life of Mine

Today, I'll be going to pick up a copy of Windows XP, if I can find one. Once I install it and get the most important software set up, I'll be happy. As it is, I don't have much planned for today until I get the new OS. I have a little work I need to do, but it's not much. It certainly won't take all day.

I'm going to finish up on here, then clean out the litter box and take a shower. I also need to call Walmart, Best Buy and Target to see if they have Windows XP and to get prices.

We had storms last night. Lots of wind, but the thunder seemed somewhat distant. I guess we missed the worst of it. I'm thankful for that! We did get a lot of rain, though.

And there you have it...short and sweet (or boring, however you look at it).

Have a great day!

Stupid Vista!

I've been fighting with my laptop all day. Vista decided I should download and install Service Pack 3 last night and my laptop hasn't worked since. :/ I'm hoping to pick up a copy of Windows XP tonight or tomorrow. I hate Vista! >:(

And that has pretty much all I've been doing today. My whole day has been wasted trying...unsuccessfully...twice...to reinstall Windows Vista. I've tried restoring my system, too. Nothing has worked.

I would love to upgrade to Windows 7, but I can't, since I can't install Vista in the first place. I can't win. :/

So, I'm on the desktop computer for now. There are things I need to do that I won't do on this computer...for security reasons...so I need to get XP or find some other solution.

I'll be back on here in the morning, but from the desktop computer (the PC I'm using now).

Oh, by the way, serious prayer request: My dad and stepmom live in Georgia and they're getting tons of rain (15+ inches and counting). People have died! Please keep their safety in prayer. Thanks!

Have a good evening,

Lois

New Hair Color Plus A Bonus

It's not too much of a stretch, since the color I was using was a dark chocolate brown and would look black right after coloring my hair, but this is more of a blue black.  I love it!

And here's a cute bonus pic:   Josiah Ray, my grandson!  :)

Isn't he cute?  :)  You can't even tell that he was a bit fussy!

Have a great evening,

Lois

Piccies!

It's been really cloudy and rainy here a lot lately.  They say we're cut off from the jet stream, so the clouds and rain have been kind of going around in circles.  I believe it!

Anyway, this morning, after Jeff went off to work, I opened the curtains, like I do every morning.

I looked out at our Bradford Pear and saw this:

Then the sun came out and I got this:

I hope the sun stays for a while.  I could sure use some of it's energy!  :)

Hopefully, Today Will Be Nice and Quiet!

I see blue sky! :D Don't know how much we'll have today. The forecast says "Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s. Light winds." Hopefully, we won't have any of those showers and storms. I'd rather see lots of sunlight!

Today, I plan on doing a lot of reading. I'll be reading some of my friend's book, plus some of The Screenwriting Formula. I also want to work on my novels (fixing them) and work in my writing notebook a little bit. Otherwise, I don't have much I need to do today.

Oh! But I'll be coloring my hair today. I'll post a pic if it turns out good. :)

Yesterday was good. Jeff and I picked up a card table for my mom. It's one of the ones with the hard plastic top. I didn't want one with a vinyl top because the vinyl always tears easy.

I also got a bread knife, which I'm oddly excited about. The knives we've been using to slice our Multi-Grain Boule are dull and it's hard for me to cut the bread, or much of anything, with them. This new knife is nice! I was able to slice two loaves without a problem. It cost almost $11, but it's worth every penny!

Well, that's how my day looks. How does your day look?

Have a good one!

Lois
