I wrote a good eleven character journal entries, but things seemed to be going slowly. Then I started work on a story starring one of my newest characters. My word count really took off from there. I ended up with a final word count of 11,006!
I'm really loving this new story, too. I'm hoping it will be a short story, but I tend to be a bit long-winded when it comes to short stories. I'll have to pare it back a lot when it's finished. I don't mind, though. It's all part of the writing process...even if I do hate to cut those extra words out.
So, there you have it, another successful 10K Day. :)
