It's Showtime!

lmeighmyAwesome article about Vivek Oberoi slipping into a theater to see what the turnout was like for his Prince: It's Showtime film. I especially love the last part, where he talks about his "little angels" in Vrindavan (and the picture of him at the top is cute, too). :) Prince is already showing in theaters here, but those theaters are too far away from our location. I want to go to Kansas City to see it. It would be an awesome early birthday gift. Anyone want to suggest it to Jeff? ;)

I sure hope I don't have a long wait for it to come out on DVD. :(

Jeff was sick all day yesterday, but he didn't seem to have a fever. Weird. He's back to work today, though. As far as I know, no one else seems to be sick. He was sick for close to 24 hours.

I did a one-pass edit on my journal-style short story yesterday afternoon. I'm hoping to do another pass today. I've got to get my editing and revision book out of the studio so I can read up on what to look for before I jump on that.

I have one feedback to write this morning, then that's it until I resume training. I'll probably do that on Wednesday or Thursday, unless I don't have jury duty tomorrow.

I've ordered something for our anniversary. Eric and Chelsey know what it is. I'm sure Jeff has some idea, but I haven't told him what it is. It's a surprise. :)

I'd better go get to work on that feedback. Once that's done, I can work on my screenplay, then the short story.

Have an awesome day!

I'm Loving My New Companion!

lmeighmyNiki seems to be doing very well. Her eye looks better since she's been inside. She's lying at the other end of the couch right now, curled up, asleep. We had a good walk this morning. It's about a tenth of a mile from our house to the end of the road, and we walked it twice, so going both ways, we walked four tenths of a mile. Yeah, I'm getting good exercise. :)

I went to Sweet Bay last night. Eric and Chelsey did their shopping while I was there. I guess Jeff went and got some fast food for himself. He also picked up some Frontline at Lowe's across the street from Sweet Bay and some doggie shampoo at Walmart. We already have flea bombs, so we'll use those soon...sometime when we have nice weather. Friday should be the next good day for that.

I have some feedback to write today. Otherwise, I need to work on revising my screenplay outline. I need to have it ready by April 1. I also want to do some writing from another prompt. I had fun with the last one. I still need to edit it, though.

And there you have it...short, but sweet. ;)

Get Your Back Off the Wall

I didn't write as much as I wanted to yesterday. I only wrote three character journal entries, for a subtotal of 1,138. I didn't think I'd get any more writing in, but I ended up adding another 991 words to my new story. That one scene brought my total to 2,129. Not great, but not bad, either.

And I've found a "model" for the woman in the story, adding to my feeling of success. :)

I added some work out DVDs to my Netflix queue. I'm trying to find something fun that I can stick with. I'm thinking of some kind of dance style workout, but not anything I won't be able to keep up with. Has anyone here ever done belly dancing? I've heard it's tough, but that it's an awesome workout. Of course, if I were to do that, I'd do it in regular work out clothes. I'm not getting one of those skimpy I Dream Of Jeannie outfits. ;)

I still want to get into running, though. At this point, that's what I most want to do.

Anyway, I'll be going to Sweet Bay tonight to meet up with the Yetis. :) We may be discussing loglines, which will be very helpful when I write my screenplays...and novels.

And now I'd better wrap it up on here.

Have a great day!

Blah!

I'm not feeling very good today, so I'm going to get off the computer and use good old fashioned pen and paper while I curl up with a quilt on the loveseat. I wish I had peppermint tea. It sure would help my tummy!

I have to babysit this afternoon into tonight. I hope I'm feeling better by then. We also have to go grocery shopping. :/

Jeff was happy to see that La Femme Nikita isn't over with (although he really wanted her to be able to go free). Mission accomplished. *g*

Tomorrow night, we'll watch one of the other DVDs. That's after 10K Day, of course. ;)

Well, I need to check in over at the writing forum, then get off here.

Have a good day,

Lois
